Description

URETHYN XHD 2 is a soft lubricating grease based on a synthetic hydrocarbon base oil and a very temperature resistant polyurea thickener. A selected additive package provides excellent wear protection, even at alternating speeds, temperatures and loads.

Field of application

URETHYN XHD 2 is used for lubrication of plain and anti-friction bearings, which run under extreme operating conditions. URETHYN XHD 2 provides a reliable lubrication throughout a broad temperature range, even at alternating load conditions and speeds. URETHYN XHD 2 is especially suitable for a safe lubrication of bearings which are subject to vibrations, oscillations and shock loads. Typical application fields are the lubrication of bearings in large-size generators of wind turbines as well as mechanically and thermally heavily loaded bearings in chemicals industry, plastics and wood processing, paper industry, production of insulation material as well as in glass and ceramics industry.

Method of application

URETHYN XHD 2 can be applied manually or by means of centralised lubricating systems. The pumpability at -40°C in centralised lubrication systems should be verified with the manufacturer of these components. Specifications of the bearing and machine manufacturers are to be observed.
