ANTICORIT MBR
Corrosion preventive
Description
ANTICORIT MBR is a mineral oil based emulsificable blueing oil containing a special mixture of surface-active additives and corrosion inhibitors. It readily forms an emulsion, and no special equipment is necessary to create a stable emulsion with water.
Application
To prepare an emulsion of ANTICORIT MBR, a temperature between 35 and 60 °C is recommended. ANTICORIT MBR is used in a ratio between 5 and 10 %. ANTICORIT MBR is recommended for the protection and simultaneous blueing of small components such as screws and nuts and used in quenching tanks after the tempering temperature has been reached (optimal black finishing is reached using a tempering temperature > 400 °C). Components get a blue-black, dull, and greasy finish. Ideal bath temperature is about 70 °C. Drying time is about 2 minutes depending on the bath temperature.
Advantages
- easily miscible emulsion
- good corrosion protection
- particularly browning effect on steel surfaces
- free of heavy metals and other harmful materials
Industries
- Steel, metals
- Transport
- Metal processing
