Description

TRAM-SILENCE 00 is a grey-black free-flowing paste based on a synthetic carrier fluid and containing solids and additives.

Field of application

TRAM-SILENCE 00 is mainly applied in a thin layer onto the rail surface or the wheel tread area in tight curves. This minimises the noise formation between wheel and rail caused by longitudinal or lateral slip, thus drastically reducing or eliminating the dreaded “curve screeching”.

Method of application

TRAM-SILENCE 00 is applied mainly and extremely economically via automatic lubrication systems. TRAM-SILENCE 00 can be applied both from rolling-stock, i.e. using on-board equipment, as well as by means of stationary rail lubricating equipment. We would be pleased to provide you with the names of suitable and approved lubricating systems for your intended application.

Note

The advantage of TRAM-SILENCE 00 when compared with traditional rail lubricants, which sometimes are also recommended for such applications, lies in the fact that TRAM-SILENCE 00 has considerably less effect on the coefficients of friction between wheel and rail. This greatly increases the safety factor with regard to unintentional overdosing.
