GRASINOL 10 %

Graphite oil

Performance Features

  • good lubricity
  • suitable for hot forming
  • suitable for cold forming

Description

GRASINOL 10 % is a grayish black, graphite- and additive-containing oil suspension based on mineral oil. The graphite contained in GRASINOL 10 % is chemically pure and has been processed and very finely ground.

Properties

GRASNOL 10 % has good lubricating and release properties. At temperatures between 140 and 160°C, the carrier oil will evaporate and the remaining graphite will assume the lubrication and release effect. Graphite is chemically inert and safe to use.

Application

GRASINOL 10 % is mainly used wherever elevated temperatures and considerable pressures require reliable lubrication. Adding it in small quantities to the lubricating oil is a common procedure. It may also be added to gear oils, chain lubricants, cutting and drawing oils. Industrially, GRASINOL 10 % is used for cold and hot forming.

Method of application

GRASINOL 10 % may be applied by brush or spraying device. It may also be poured.
